Refractory castable is an unshaped refractory material widely used to line Kiln Hoods due to its outstanding advantages:
- High heat resistance: Can withstand temperatures up to 1,400 – 1,800°C depending on the material type.
- Thermal shock resistance: Reduces cracking risk due to sudden temperature changes.
- Good mechanical strength: Abrasion resistant and capable of bearing loads.

- Low Cement Castable (LCC): Enhanced mechanical strength and thermal shock resistance.
- Ultra Low Cement Castable (ULCC): Chemical corrosion resistance and lower porosity.
- No Cement Castable (NCC): Improved thermal strength and flexibility.
